Establishment and Legacy
Families have been purchasing home furnishings from Pierce Furniture since 1900, when C. P. Pierce established the first store in Morning Sun, Iowa. Originally, the store also served as a funeral home, a common practice at the time.
Generational Expansion
L. R. Pierce joined the family business in 1919, overseeing operations until his retirement in 1975. Leroy K. Pierce, his son, joined in 1950, later expanding the business into Columbus Junction and Wapello, Iowa, during the 1980s.
Continuation and Succession
Leroy's sons, Dave and C. P. Pierce, joined in the early 1980s, eventually establishing the existing location in Muscatine, Iowa. Today, we continue the great tradition of offering great family values and service.
